WINONA, Minn. — To close out its 2017-18 season, Jazz at Saint Mary’s will host its semi-annual “jazz final” on Sunday, May 6, beginning at 3 p.m. on the Winona Campus plaza. This performance will continue the jazz groups’ celebration honoring the musical legacies of jazz giants Sonny Rollins and John Coltrane.
Twice each year, all three Saint Mary’s jazz groups get together for an informal afternoon of great music in a casual setting. The event is free, and members of the community are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair to join the musicians as they celebrate the end of another great year of Jazz at Saint Mary’s. In the event of rain, the event will be held in the Cardinal Club.
