How Long Does It Take to Get an MBA at Saint Mary’s?

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota offers different options for students and adult learners to earn an MBA. Our programs provide the balance you need as you pursue an education while navigating work and family obligations. We offer more opportunities to customize your degree than other MBA programs, enabling you to structure your education according to your career goals.

The time it takes to earn your MBA will differ depending on the path you choose. You can select the online MBA program or in-person MBA programs at our Minneapolis campus.

Online

Our online MBA program offers the fastest timeline for earning your degree. You can complete the online program in 12 to 24 months and move at a pace that suits your schedule. The program includes 30 credits, but students can also add a 12- or 15-credit certificate and complete two additional courses to earn their MBA with a certificate.

Minneapolis Program

Students who enroll in the MBA program at the Minneapolis campus can complete their degree in 2.5 years. Created for adult learners, this program features a mix of in-person and online instruction for 39 credits. You can add one of 13 specializations to your degree with 45 credits, and two of the MBA courses are substituted for your four or five specializations.

Rochester Program

Your expected completion time for the MBA program at our Rochester campus is 2.5 years. This 39-credit program also follows a hybrid format with in-person instruction and collaborative online work. Students can choose from 13 specializations to customize their degrees.

All three MBA programs are accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) and have multiple start dates throughout the year. Specializations (graduate certificates for the online program) include:
