Transfer Credit Policy

Adult online learners who apply to the degree completion programs can transfer up to 90 credits toward a business degree. Past credits are always eligible, so even if it’s been a few years since you attended college, you can get a head start on your degree. We accept:
- Previously earned credits at accredited colleges, universities, community colleges, and technical colleges
- Credit earned through standardized testing, such as the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) or DANTES Subject Standardized Tests
- Business, industry, and military training credits through the American Council on Education (ACE) or Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
Most of our degree completion programs require students to complete just 33 or 36 credits through Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, so you may be able to finish your bachelor’s degree in just a year.
