Minneapolis Campus Programs
Many of our graduate programs are offered at our urban, nonresidential Minneapolis Campus. Programs focus on business and technology, health and human services, and education. The Minneapolis Campus is conveniently located in the heart of the vibrant metropolitan area of Minneapolis/Saint Paul.
International Students are eligible to study at Saint Mary’s Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs Minneapolis Campus for the following in-person programs: Doctor of Business Administration, Doctor of Education: Leadership, Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesiology, Doctor of Psychology in Counseling Psychology, Master of Business Administration, M.A. in Counseling and Psychological Services, M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, M.A. in Philanthropy and Development, M.S. in Data Intelligence and GeoAnalytics with Business Engineering Emphasis (STEM OPT Eligible).
Information for Admitted Students
International students who have been admitted to the university should familiarize themselves with the steps and eligibility requirements for becoming and remaining a student at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Request and receive your Form I-20, and review other critical information, to ensure that your transition is a smooth one.
Advising and Support
International Students enrolled in the Master of Science in Data Intelligence and GeoAnalytics with a Business Engineering emphasis (DIGA-BE) and the Master of Science in Information Technology Project Management programs qualify for a scholarship.
International students enrolled in the DIGA-BE program will receive a scholarship of $265 per credit. International students enrolled in the IT Project Management program will receive a scholarship of $140 per credit.
Your enrollment counselor can provide you with additional information as you navigate the enrollment process. At present, this scholarship is only available to students enrolled in these two programs.
Students must pass a language proficiency exam to be admitted to the university, and the options to meet that requirement are listed in the university catalog under “Admission Policies”. It includes, but is not limited to, a minimum score of 72 in the TOEFL.
We understand that it is challenging to begin life in a new and unfamiliar community in a culture other than your own. Your International Student Advisor will be the primary contact for you while you are attending Saint Mary’s. Upon acceptance to Saint Mary’s, students will be provided with immigration advising related to F-1 status, a pre-arrival orientation course, and an in-person International New Student Orientation. Throughout further completion of study, students will receive advising for employment authorization and the application process for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT).
